I am going to choose at random one career from each level of the fashion industry and give in detail how it relates to me personally.
Primary Level
Textile Designer for Fossil, Inc.
Description: creating textile designs to be used in Fossil products; keeping up with the latest trends and styles; designing for various Fossil categories; shopping for inspiration; meeting deadlines.
Positive: I definitely like the idea of inspiration shopping, and I like that I will be working with different categories of the Fossil brand. Working in different categories presents a challenge that can be conquered with hard work. It also helps if I eventually decide to move to another position in the Fossil brand. I also get to work in a company that I love.
Negative: If I was working as a textile designer for Fossil, I would have received my Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising. The job calls for a degree in art and/or design. My degree would help me in areas such as business and organization, and also give me a little background in design. However, I am limited in design experience.
